PACNET LAUNCHES PAN ASIAN DATA CENTRE PLAN AMID RUMOURED IPO

Posted on:24 Feb 2010

Pacnet has announced plans to convert its Cable Landing facilities which are already equipped with massive power, space and capacity, across key markets in the Asia Pacific region into Data Landing Stations (DLS). The conversion of its cable landing facilities into data centre facilities will enable Pacnet to expand collocation, managed service and content delivery networks. The company owns cable landing stations in key markets including Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. Current plan is to launch three DLS facilities in 2010 and additional sites in 2011 - locations and details for Phase One will be announced in the coming weeks. Market reports suggest the firm is close to defining an IPO.
