ALENTUS EXPANDS INTO EUROPE ACQUIRING LONDON-BASED ARETI INTERNET LTD

Web hosting and managed services specialist Alentus Corp of California, US, has acquired London, UK-based Areti Internet Ltd. While financial details of the cash and stock transaction were not disclosed, the acquisition will add some $1.5 million in annual revenue and position Alentus in the fast-growing European market. All Areti Internet employees have been retained.

Founded in 1996, Areti Internet focuses on managed co-location, dedicated server, Internet access with national UK xDSL and leased line, virtual/shared hosting, and specialist data centre virtualisation solutions. Areti also brings a stable client base to the Alentus platform.

Areti operates extensive multi-cabinet private cages/suites within the following five data centres – Telecity Sovereign House and Telecity Harbour Exchange in London, Equinix in Slough, IFL I and IFL II in Manchester, UK, and Telehouse America in New York. All locations are connected to Areti’s Cisco-powered redundant network featuring BGP4 carrier resiliency.
